This young lady contacted for images for her modeling portfolio. That is pretty common. Portfolio shoots are something I really enjoy. I like working with just one person, bouncing around ideas, trying to come up with exciting images. Something that Laura shared with me I thought was pretty amazing. She wanted to update her modeling portfolio because she had recently lost 40 pounds. I asked her how she did that, her reply was it was just eating right and exercising. I know I personally could use the motivation to make myself better. This lady managed to do it. You go Laura! Great job!

I had the privilege of spending 2 days with Sarah and Nicholas. On Saturday they had the wedding at Grinnell College in Iowa.

Here is the wedding party jumping for joy.

It gets better.

The next day I got to accompany them to the Iowa State Fair. I lost track of how many times people asked them if they had the ceremony at the Fair. The eventual streamlined answer was, "No, we just really like the Fair."



Corndogs, horses, random people yelling "Congratulations," all made for a perfect day with a great couple.



Thank you both so much for allowing me to share those 2 days with you.

A wedding from Ames, IA. I met this couple face-to-face on a cold winter day. Flash forward to one hot Summer wedding day :) Even with the heat on this couple was still so cool.

What a joy to see the bride laughing and flashing her contagious smile. I wish the best for them.

Their wedding was held at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines. I actually knew a little about the hotel ahead of time and knew I wanted to capture the size of the atrium somehow. No watermark applied to this image because there is so much to take in. Thank you both for letting me spend your wedding day with you and your families and friends.

I overheard one of my favorite complements at this wedding the other day. The wedding party had started dancing. One of the bridesmaid's was having trouble using her camera in the dim light of the dance floor. When she told Ryan this his reply was, "It's ok, that's why Lance is here."

Being there to capture the images, the love and the smiles, that's why I'm there.

Alexis and Mike: Weathering Iowa

The engagement shoot that almost didn't happen. We canceled the shoot for last weekend because of a freak snowstorm. Then we almost got rained out on attempt #2. Luckily the weather cooperated and all went well. I knew just enough about NASCAR to keep them entertained. Mike had a surprise dinner planned and I left not ever knowing what the secret meal was :( Their wedding is September 2008.

Nicole Schafer: Actress

Another actress but also another quality lady. Also another one I have not really seen act, but that's my fault not hers.
I did see some music video showing her being chased through the woods. Scary.

We have a lot in common. Her and I seem to have a diverse circle of people we know to get various projects done.

I would like to take some time to introduce readers to some of the people that work with me. I thank all of them for the patience to put up with me.



IA/NY Actress Jenna Good. I feel a bit silly in that we have worked together 4 times yet I've never really seen her in a true acting role.



I will fix that sometime. I know she's won awards for her acting and is on the cusp of becoming a Big Name talent in Hollywood.
